Victoria Morehead

Creative Director, Copy

While in college, Victoria found herself smitten with an Apple computer, which got her curious about graphic design. Ironically, that Apple was in the college newspaper office where she worked as a staff writer. After finishing a summer design internship, Victoria graduated with a degree in journalism, minoring in art and English.

Her first job was working as a writer and designer for the Entomological Society. Yes, bugs. From there she worked various design jobs, always including writing in the mix. In 2003, Victoria decided to take a year off from her career, teaching yoga and working for a natural health center. After the year, she switched to full-time writing, ending up in a mid-sized Baltimore-based agency.

In 2008, she moved from her home state of Maryland to North Carolina to work as a copywriter for Brooks Bell. Coming from a traditional agency into an all-digital environment was a huge change, one that totally altered her perspective on marketing.

Over the past three years with BB, Victoria has gained valuable insight into what kind of design and copy make people click and convert. She is passionate about BB’s vision for digital marketing, and enjoys mixing strategy, analytics and great creative together for the best results. She is grateful every day to work with an amazing and dedicated team of coworkers she also calls friends. In her downtime, Victoria enjoys traveling, cooking with friends, photography, hiking, discovering new music and continuing her obsession with Apple.

Our Core Values at Work

What’s your favorite way to pursue knowledge?
I have a natural curiosity, so I tend to ask people questions when I want to learn more about something. Sharing information with peers is a fantastic way to learn, gain new perspective and keep inspired.
What’s one true thing about you that not many people know?
I white-knuckle my steering wheel when I’m driving on very high bridges. Nausea, pounding heart, terror … only when I’m going up the incline, and only when I’m driving.
What’s the bravest thing you’ve ever done?
I moved by myself to another state knowing very few people there — twice.
What makes you a great team member?
I understand the value of happiness at work, and I bring a sense of humor to the table that puts people at ease and encourages a fun atmosphere.
What are five things that make you happy?
Friends and family; spontaneous adventure; really loud thunderstorms; unhindered creativity; the Carolina mountains.
